           Copper Canyon

Newsletter #17       May 2008

Dear Valued Client Friends:

Sue’s New Copper Canyon Adventure:

After more than 20 years of seeing the Copper Canyon by rail, I am seeing it from helicopters and Cessnas. It is an awesome experience.  Since late last year I have been working with DD Tours out of Dallas to provide travel services for mining analysts visiting the rich projects in the Copper Canyon area.  Also, we have provided services in the Mexican state of Nayarit, a new territory for me.

 2008 Tours:

Our 2008 Colonial Cities Tour in March was such a huge success that we will offer it again next year—March 6-13, 2009.   We enjoyed great accommodations, wonderful food and interesting history, culture and art.  We could have spent more time in Guanajuato; our Casa Luna B & B in San Miguel was an unforgettable experience with our unique rooms that included private courtyards and balconies.  We were all surprised at how much we liked the historical city of Queretaro.

Our newest tour is Spain, September 8-19 this coming fall.  We really would like two more people on it.  Come join us!

 2009 Tours:

The April 17-26, 2009 Costa Rica Tour already has quite a few people on it.  If you are interested, sign up soon.  We rotate Costa Rica, Peru, and another destination (Guatemala or Spain?) every three years.  Peru will be in 2010 again.  We have already had inquiries about it.

The Monarch Butterfly Migration Tour to Michoacán February 27-March 6, 2009 already has travelers in it.   We keep this to a very small group so if it is on your “wish list,” sign up now!

Pre-Trip Travel Tips:

 l. Make sure you can check e-mail outside your home or office.  Both Gmail.com and Yahoo.com can set up free e-mail accounts to forward your email while traveling.

2. E-mail yourself important information such as passport, credit cards, phone numbers, eyeglass and medication prescriptions, list of inoculations, e-mail addresses of kin, etc.

3. Inform your credit card companies of your travel plans or they can put a block on your overseas purchases if they deem them suspicious.

4. Leave a copy of important documents at home with a trusted friend or family member
